SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Since its establishment, Mario Bellucci has followed a path towards sustainability, standing out as a reliable benchmark in the eyes of the world’s leading designers and fashion houses thanks to its green designs development, zero waste philosophy and total product traceability.
To go one step further, Mario Bellucci has adopted the 4sustainability® Chemical Management Protocol, which is aimed at guaranteeing full respect for ecological and environmental regulations, in line with the most stringent international standards and the ZDHC MRSL.

Mario Bellucci actively undertakes to comply with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly the ones regarding clean water, economic growth, sustainable industrialization and conservation of terrestrial ecosystems.
That’s why we constantly research innovative materials, employ natural fibres and recycle textiles: to give our fabrics a longer and greener life while minimizing environmental and social impact throughout the whole supply chain, in full respect of the noble and synthetic fibers we employ.

Mario Bellucci is now able to look towards a green future of highly advanced technological fabrics, by virtue of our centuries old traditional heritage improved over time by this passionate commitment to sustainable innovation.

CERTIFICATIONS

Global Recycled Standard (GRS) guarantees the presence of recycled content in our fabrics, and compliance with environmental and social requirements for manufacturing activities, throughout the whole production chain. In doing so, Mario Bellucci plays its part in creating a model of sustainable production and consumption.

OUR LABELS

Less waste, more creativity.
Wear never ending feelings and give fabrics a second life.
Strength of Prato’s textile district, our supply chain pays close attention to recycling. Due to its small size, no globally recognized certification attests their commitment, and that’s why we created this label: to highlight the added value brought by recycling natural fibres.

Exclusive quality made of monofibre fabrics or wool blends.
Easy to recycle and regenerate.
One of the biggest challenges of textile recycling is to separate fibre blends to recycle each with their own different system. It is less demanding to recycle a garment made out of one single material or made of easily reusable blends, and thus the best eco-friendly choice.

Say no to animal cruelty.
Let’s make animals smile.
When it comes to animal welfare, no mutilations are allowed during farming activities for fabrics labeled with this tag. It marks textiles made of recycled fibers or mulesed free wool, designed paying special attention to animal health.

INTERNAL TESTING LAB

Our well equipped internal laboratory allows us to run physical, chemical and technological tests on our finished textiles and raw materials, in conformity with the more stringent international standards. Special attention is paid to the dying process, where hazardous chemicals are more likely to be involved. This internal audit function ascribes great value to the many already appreciated assets offered to our customers.
