FOUNDING
Mario Bellucci is one of the oldest will mills in the Prato textile district: it was founded by the eponymous proprietor in 1950, after World War II. Due to the widespread poverty, the owner was careful not to waste any material resources and to recycle fabrics, leading us on a path towards sustainability from the very beginning.
1969
Award – Mercurio d’Oro
Mario Bellucci received the “Mercurio d’Oro” as a reward for professional responsibility and priceless commitment. This quality award was given to corporate businesses to restore confidence and promote the spirit of competition of the postwar economic and productive system in Italy.

Generational Turnover
After a quarter of a century, the second Bellucci generation took over the business: Piero (CEO) and Paolo (Managing Director). They introduced the regenerated carded cycle, guiding the company on its rightful path to environmental sustainability and the development of eco-innovations, still actively followed to this day.

Founder member of Pratotrade
1980
Global Fashion Market
Mario Bellucci became an international leader fabric supplier thanks to its fanciful, original and elegant creations. Particularly appreciated abroad because of the high quality, refinement and tastefulness, our global success was built on the foundation of Italian Fashion, which was blooming at that time.

Historical Archive
Our Historical Archive allows the culture and traditions of our firm to be handed down through the generations, ensuring that every new creation is consistent with the distinctive Mario Bellucci unique identity. The art of traditional craftsmanship is still entirely preserved in our archive, making it an endless source of inspiration for our designers.
2012
Generational Turnover
The third Bellucci generation took their place in the business: the founder’s grandchildrens Simone and Clizia, still at the head of the company. We owe it to them that our production range now includes jersey fabrics, as well as the employment of noble fibers and the creation of high fashion content collections.
2016
Environmental Sustainability
Along with other 19 textiles companies, Mario Bellucci signed the Consorzio Implementazione Detox commitment. From that moment we have deviated from our familiar paths by taking an even more conscious and restrictive route towards sustainability, marking the beginning of a still ongoing quest to an industry-wide sustainable business model.
2018
Rebranding
This year marks the starting point of Mario Bellucci’s corporate rebranding journey. We embarked on this with the aim of highlighting our company’s commitment to create value and maintain the highest global standards, while enhancing the way customers experience our brand’s sustainable and innovative products.
2019
Award – Stefanino d’Oro
This award was granted by the city of Prato to Mario Bellucci, rewarded for its success achieved through fair competition and in compliance with regulations. We are proud of this important recognition: it is a great honor for our company to have received this award, which provides further confirmation of the validity of our intrinsic values.

Digitalisation
